Think Like a Scientist

My Reflection

First we did the color changing cabbage experiment for it we needed some pieces of cabbage some glass bottles with water in it and some food coloring then we had to wait for the food coloring to reach the top of the cabbages.

Second we did the milk art for that we needed some plastic boles some food coloring and some milk to put in the boles we also needed some cotton buds and dish washing liquid we put the milk in first the the food coloring then we had to get a cotton bud and dip it in the dish washing liquid and put the cotton bud with dish washing liquid into the milk and food coloring then the food coloring made some cool designs in the bole.

Third we did the  balloon rockets and it was fun we needed a straw some string a balloon and some scissors we needed to cut the straw into a small piece then we had to put the small piece of straw through the string and then we had to tie one end of the string to a chair then we had to find something else to tie the other end to then we had someone blow up the balloon and put some tape on the string and attach the balloon to the string with the tape then we let the balloon go and it went all the way to the other side of the piece of string sometimes the balloon would spin around and not go forward.

My Reflection

I had to watch a video from the movie Matilda and also had to write captions about the video.

I did well at writing this down and working with my partner Christian.

I felt like laughing because the video was funny.

My next steps are to try and find a longer video so that I could write more captions

Rocket Dash

I had to write a DASH? paragraph about a raccoon who's name is Rocket and he steals a innocent cat
I have described the setting of my story using interesting adjectives.
My character has done some action of some sort.
My character has spoken to what the story was about.
I have shown how the characters are feeling movements reactions and body language.
I have written a cliffhanger or rhetorical question to finish the paragraph

Measurement Scavenger Hunt

My Reflection

I had to measure things that were 1 - 100cm long. 

Some of the things were not exactly the right amount.

I feel good because this was easy and tricky the easy part was writing everything down and the tricky part was trying to find the right length of things.

I want to know more about measuring and what the longest thing in the world is.

My next steps are to try and measure something even longer than 1meter.
